Put a Drive into your Career

Essential career improvement skills are always related to skills and techniques which increase personal effectiveness such as goal setting, stress management, creativity, problem solving, information processing, memory improvement and effective learning.

Biases Affecting Information Processing
The information that comes into our lives is seldom received in an objective or neutral way. There are several biases which affect the degree of influence a given amount of information has on our knowledge, beliefs, and decision making. Here are some of those biases: availability, familiarity, memorability, recency, sequence, sparkle, compatibility, preconception, privilege, visual presentation, mental effort. In addition, the effective use of information can be hampered by the following factors: hasty generalization, inconsistency, pressure and contrast.

Learning Tools for Teachers
The Learning Tools provide teachers with useful tools for professional development: lesson plans, project ideas, after school programs, career and technology education, multi-cultural studies, exceptional student education and other tools.

Learning Theories
The section About Learning is devoted to the following twelve theories on how people learn: Constructivism, Behaviorism, Piaget's Developmental Theory, Neuroscience, Brain-Based Learning, Learning Styles, Multiple Intelligences, Right Brain/Left Brain Thinking, Communities of Practice, Control Theory, Observational Learning, Vygotsky and Social Cognition.

Personology
Personology has its roots in early Egyptian research that studied body and facial structure to identify behavioral variations. It is considered as a 'comprehensive language for learning about ourselves' and can be used to improve communication - personal or business, sales – management, coaching – counseling, customer service, personnel placement, parenting or teaching, marriage - sexual relations, finances, self-appreciation and acceptance.

Multiple Intelligences
It is claimed that we have the following different intelligences: linguistic, logical-mathematical, spatial, bodily-kinesthetic, musical, interpersonal, intrapersonal and naturalist. What special intelligences do you have? - You can find out by answering a few simple questions.

Critical Thinking Materials
One of the most important roles of a teacher is to help students manage and use information. Professor Robert Harris explains how a teacher can help students to identify problems, find resources, evaluate them, apply them, and create a result - a knowledge product.

Psychological Tests
Psychtests.com is dedicated to self-knowledge, motivation and improvement. The psychologists, statisticians, and artificial intelligence specialists provide with self-assessment tools.

Personality Test
Knowing your personality well is the key to happy and successful life. Get answers to the following questions: How do you compare to the average person? Your Personality - how was it developed? What is your relationship style? Which type of person suits you best?
